GCII can boast four Burnsians:

The Burns Club of Atlanta is a Literary Society and is part of a world wide federation dedicated to the memory, works and ideals of Robert Burns. Membership for the Burns Club is capped at 100 and is invitation only.

Watch for New By-Laws
Members of Gate City will soon get the opportunity to comment upon or make suggestions about a revision to lodge By-Laws. Watch for your e-mail with the draft of the new By-Laws as an attachment. If you don't get yours, make sure the lodge Secretary has your e-mail address. By-Laws have a long life. Your opinion counts.

Bring It On Home: Gate City Awarded The Mark Twain Trophy at Grand Lodge:
As Willie Dixon would say, "Bring it on Home." GCII WM Donald Hall brings home the coveted Mark Twain Award from Grand Lodge. In the Masonic Information Centers own words, "The Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award recognizes lodges that have demonstrated exemplary work in constructing a positive Masonic identity within the lodge and for the local community." Yep, that about says it all. Congratulations to the Brethren of Gate City Lodge No. 2.

GA CHIP Event at Scottish Highland Games a Success:
Gate City Lodge No. 2's members have held three GA CHIP's events this year and processed four hundred children. For the second year in a row, Gate City has been at the Scottish Highland Games at Stone Mountain. This years weather was beautiful.
Alan Colussy aided our efforts by having his birds on display to keep children occupied while there siblings were getting their turns for CHIP ID kits. GCII Fellowcraft, Jason Graham, The head of Children's activities for the Highland Games, lent us a bubble machine as well.
No rest for the Worshipful. Donald Hall, front and center for the lion's share of both days, handled the dental impressions, organized the brethren, and made sure things went smoothly.
